2008

Several sources confirm that Mirabilandia has big plans for the future. In 2008 the park opens a new 10 million euro darkride (see pictures above). The ride comes with a whole storyline:

On a fatal day for human kind, billions of people died because of a meteor storm that did not only destroy some cities, but the world atmosphere as well. Human life on the surface of the earth was no longer possible, so the few who survived were forced to move underground. Total destruction made them decide to reset calendars on the year zero.

After a few centuries, temperatures have risen to acceptable levels and the radio active polution has gone. Humans seem to be ready once again to live on planet earth. A group of people that lived under the city of New York managed to repair a vehicle from the year zero and organise a investigation mission to the surface. What they find is disappointing. The city is ruined and big parts are still covered in ice. But not everything seems to have died...

2009

Mirabilandia will build a new megacoaster (probably B&M), replacing the park's wooden rollercoaster Sierra Tonante. More details have not been released.
