  • Auteur: Vincent De Vriendt @ 11 Jul 08

At Europa-Park, everyday life is a world away: hot beach parties, European street festivals, splashing water rides and fascinating activities for little explorers – from June to September, Germany´s biggest theme park offers its visitors way more than fun, excitement and relaxation.

Splashy refreshment on hot days

Feeling the spray of the Greek seas in the water roller coaster Poseidon, passing through a roaring Scandinavian torrent on the Fjord Rafting or going on a daring trip down a swift-flowing stream in the Tirol Log Flume – a short trip to Europa-Park offers summerly refreshment and plenty of splashing fun. A journey from Scandinavia to Andalusia in one day - in Germany´s biggest theme park the visitors can discover more than 100 attractions, all of them integrated into 12 European themed areas. Many cool water rides guarantee plenty of refreshment on hot summer days for sun-seeking visitors. A leisurely ride on the Jungle Rafts, a sightseeing tour with a difference in the London Bus or a daring ride on the Silver Star, Europe´s highest and tallest roller coaster – at Europa-Park all visitors can find their very special summer thrill.

Great parties and gastronomic highlights

During the Summer Party on 26 July all visitors of Europa-Park can have fun and entertainment until late at night: almost all rides will be open until midnight and numerous surprises and additional activities are waiting for the visitors. This day is also the kick-off for this year´s Pirates´ Beach Parties. Every Saturday night in August, DJ Pirate will fire up the visitors in the Portuguese themed area with Dance, Latin, House and R&B. Moreover, many fascinating performances, such as juggling and typical Brasilian Capoeira dancing, guarantee plenty of party mood from 8 pm on. All those who need some refreshment after dancing can enjoy a splashy ride on the water coaster Atlantica SuperSplash. One of the gastronomic summer highlights at Europa-Park is the South African Week: from end of July until mid August, guests of the new restaurant Bamboe Baai can enjoy delicious South African specialities instead of Asian cuisine.

Sweet dreams after an adventurous day

All visitors who want to spend more than one day in Germany´s biggest theme park can enjoy sweet dreams in the Europa-Park Hotel Resort. With its four 4-star themed hotels “Colosseo”, “El Andaluz”, “Castillo Alcazar” and “Santa Isabel”, the resort offers Italian dolce vita, Spanish passion and Portuguese monastic life. Moreover, the Tipi Village with wigwams, chuck-wagons and log-cabins offers a wild and romantic ambience for all adventurous guests.

Great thirst for knowledge is quenched

All little explorers will certainly love the Science House, because here science and technology are explained and displayed in a playful and understandable way. On an area of 1,000 square metres more than 80 interactive exhibits invite the guests to test, experiment and understand. A visit to the Science House, which is located next to the park´s main entrance, is also possible without visiting Europa-Park.
